the adventure of the BUMPED -OFF KID (BOK) Part 1

My brother get his vacation approved..

After working for almost 3 years non-stop, he was practically "forced" to avail his vacation otherwise he wont get paid. Huh! Good for him.. I know that he is, at this point in time, in bad need of "unwinding".

Just like everyone who works abroad, he needs a rest. So I took the decision for him. I still have an unused service related ticket and i decided to give it to him. What is the point of working in the airline if you will not use these privilege?? After all, this is the only benefit we really have! (bitter much?)

It doesn't take long to convince him of going because he haven't been to any country except to UAE and of course, the Philipines ... although i know that he really hates traveling using staff ticket because he gets bumped off all the time. (Mnl-Dxb flights are always full!). But in the end, it is the sense of "adventure" that took over.

There is a challenge though... He only has to spend 200 USD, as a pocket money going to Dubai-Hongkong/Hongkong-Bangkok/ Bangkok-Dubai.... in one week.

It is a hard earned money. And for 3 years of hard work... 200 USD is nothing. But recession made it a blood money in fact.

So how did BOK prepared for travel? How does a guy prepare for a week travel? Let's take a peek on his traveling paraphernalia!

  1. Passport and notebook- the notes contains instruction on mostly "how to's" in staff travel. flight details, important numbers, hotel bookings.... in short... his Itinerary.
  2. Toiletries- in zip loc container.
  3. the BACKPACK of the backpacker....
  4. uy ready na...
  5. BOK: why do I have to wear polo?// ME: because you are traveling on a staff tkt// BOK: dami namang arte nyan..hmmmmp!
  6. BOK waiting for the BUS... (BOK: bus lang tayo?// ME: Oo noh, magtipid ka...//BOK: ehheheh)
  7. Pose muna before enlisting.. pampaswerte. ehehehe
  8. BOK: Waiting...waiting... sana makasakay..
  9. wahahahahaha.... si BOK..bumped of uli.. try ur luck uli later.... ahahahaha!

BOK: what time is the next flight..?

ME: early morning tomorrow.. 12 am

BOK: wag na kaya aKo tumuloy?

ME: Eh kung sampalin kaya kita??? grrrr....

BOK: ehehhhheheheh..

the Princess...

Yesterday: had the honor of checking in a true-blue H.R.H. I have been so inspired by the humility of this Princess who came in to my counter wearing Chuppa Chups shirt, torn jeans and rubber shoes.. no body guards, no porter assistance,no special treatment required. She even que up and patiently waited for her turn to be checked in Jclass. Being born with a royal blood is something.. but how you live up to preserve it's essence is something else entirely. Long Live the King and Queen who have raised her to become a true citizen of the world.

The Basket...

a Facebook quiz says that the symbol of my personality is like...

tadaaaaaaah!

a BASKET... i am really amazed of the wonders of psychology..on how they can come up with a seemingly "accurate" analysis about a person's personality based on seemingly baseless and irrelevant questions... hahaah.. but just the same.. I am happy with the result, it does not just give me a positive description of my self, but it also uplifts my moral as a person, knowing deep within my heart that a great part of this description is TRUE...

Here it goes: "You are very loved. Everyone finds you a welcoming, warm person. They look to you for advice and comfort, and someone to just have a good time with. Your personality is seen as cliche and average, but in truth, you have talents and skills and ideas that no one has thought of before. You are someone with style. You are good with colors, and you know how to color people's worlds and minds to your way. You think new relationships are a coloring book, to fill them in with fulfilling conversations and meetings. You may seem nice and perfect and beautiful, you have a policy of "forgive but never forget". You always remember your enemies if you have any, and you know where to steer. Sometimes, when you're completely lost, you are dependent on friends for help. You hope they'll be there for you, but sometimes you fear that they won't be. That is something you are afraid of. You are ready to give, but you are also ready to accept. To many, it seems like you change your personality just for different people, but in fact, you are the one thing that's not changing. Other people grow on you, and grow fond of you, not the other way around. You are always yourself, and you are definite. "

it hits me at..DEFINITE.... but it lost me at the.. basket??? wtf is the connection of the basket from the description above??

hhahahaha!..... whatever.... =)

The Intrigue... (Brad Pitt Edition)

I was browsing Yahoo..when I suddenly found this ARTICLE about ME and BRAD PITT!!!!!!!

To my family, friends and colleagues.. this article about ME and Brad is NOT TRUE... I swear..WE ARE JUST FRIENDS... Brad knows I am NOT yet ready for a serious commitment and i am glad that he respects.. that. My apologies to Angie and their Kids.. i sincerely hope this won't cause FURTHER rift to their relationship! =)
